Geister Rikscha is a classic dark ride attraction in the Phantasialand amusement park and is located in the China Town themed area. The ride is considered one of the longest underground ghost trains in Europe and takes guests on a leisurely tour through scenes of Chinese mythology.
Riders take a seat in automatically driven rickshaws that move along a fixed track through various elaborately designed sets. The ride is fully covered and kept in darkness. Animated figures, light and sound effects, as well as special effects like fog, are used to enhance the atmosphere.
The theming is based on Asian legends and ghost stories. Dragons, warrior figures, temple architecture, and supernatural beings shape the scenery. The design is detailed and at a calm pace, without shock effects or sudden movements.
