F.L.Y. – Flying Launch Coaster in the Rookburgh themed area
F.L.Y. is a Flying Launch Coaster at the Phantasialand amusement park and part of the immersive themed area Rookburgh. The roller coaster is manufactured by Vekoma and is considered the world’s first flying coaster with launch elements.
The ride begins in a prone position before guests are rotated into a horizontal flying position and accelerated with two catapult launches. The track leads over, under, and through buildings, including the themed hotel Charles Lindbergh. F.L.Y. offers several changes of direction, overpasses, and inversions.
The coaster is suitable for visitors from a height of 1.30 m and is fully integrated into the urban-industrial setting of Rookburgh.
