The Allgäu Skyline Park is an amusement park located in the Bavarian district of Unterallgäu in Middle Swabia.
The park area is situated along the federal motorway A 96 between Munich and Lindau and offers more than 50 attractions. These include a roller coaster, a log flume, a Ferris wheel, a petting zoo, a circus, a catapult ride, a wave swinger, and a giant slide. The attractions are divided into themed areas called Adrenalin Pur, Familien-Hits, Liebesgeflüster, and Kinderspaß.
The Allgäu Skyline Park is visited by up to 200,000 customers per season and covers a built-up area of more than 17 hectares. The gastronomic offerings include several snack stations, a restaurant, beer gardens, and sweet shops. About 40 percent of the revenue is generated from gastronomy and souvenir shops.
The amusement business is operated by the Löwenthal showman family. Joachim Löwenthal, who at the time operated a ride in the form of the world’s first transportable log flume, founded the company in 1999. He acquired the site of an old playground and continuously expanded it over time.
Since its opening, the park has tripled in size and is considered one of the leading family parks in Bavaria. For the fifth consecutive time in 2009, the Allgäu Skyline Park was awarded by the Freizeitpark-Tester Team e.V. association for the best price-performance ratio of all amusement parks in Europe.
