In the heart of the Edelwies Nature and Adventure Park in Neukirchen beim Bogen lies the "Land of the Peaceful Giants" – a magical area where ancient, mighty trees stand as peaceful giants. These impressive natural monuments, some over hundreds of years old, create a tranquil realm of dense forests, gentle hills, and idyllic paths across more than 100 hectares of protected nature reserve. Visitors stroll along well-marked hiking trails, discover gnarled trunks, mosses, and wildlife, and immerse themselves in the harmonious world of the Vorderer Bayerischer Wald.
Ideal for all ages: children play on adventure playgrounds nearby while adults enjoy the peace – combined with leisure park attractions like the Elchreitbahn or the slide world. Educational programs explain the ecology of the giant trees and promote sustainability awareness. At sunset, the silhouettes of the giants appear magical, especially with the nearby Stauweiher and Dießenbach as a backdrop. Höllencoaster

Amphitheater stairs
Opposite the main entrance of the EDELWIES restaurant, a spectacular amphitheater made of yellow and gray Lower Bavarian granite was built last year. It offers around 500 additional seats and is equipped with red sun sails. The facility is used, among other things, for film screenings, public viewing, and other performances.
Play and Slide Lighthouse
The play and slide lighthouse in the Natur- und Freizeitpark Edelwies delights with climbing fun, thrilling slides, and a maritime atmosphere. A varied highlight for children that playfully combines movement, adventure, and views.
