Stop by at 1,100 meters: The mountain hut Bärenfalle serves Allgäuer Kässpatzen and Kaiserschmarrn at the mountain station on the large sun terrace. Family-friendly hiking trails with panoramic views over the Großer Alpsee start directly in front of the hut.
The mountain hut Bärenfalle is located at 1,100 meters directly next to the top station of the chairlift and is built in the traditional Allgäu style. From the large sun terrace, the view extends over the Großer Alpsee to the foothills of the Alps. The dining room can accommodate up to 150 people – in winter, a tiled stove provides warmth. Freshly prepared Allgäu specialties are served: Kässpatzen in a wooden bowl, white sausages from the region, colorful salads, and homemade Kaiserschmarrn. Hiking trails of the Alpsee Bergwelt start around the hut – from the 25-minute circular trail around the Abenteuer Alpe to the tour to the Kempten Nature Friends House. The way back to the valley can be done on foot, by chairlift, or on the Alpsee Coaster.
